Welcome to your opportunity to “Find Your Passion in Rotary” and hone your leadership skills in your club and in your career.
Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) International is a grassroots, multidistrict program whose mission is to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education.

It’s no secret—managing all the things you have to do as an adult is a challenge. From doing your best on the
job to taking care of yourself (and, if you have them, your kids) to trying to see friends and stay sane,
we know you’ve got a lot on your plate. You love your Rotary meetings and service projects.
You have worked them into your schedule.
We can hear you now! “Now you want me to go to another set of days away from my family for Rotary.”

Philosophy

"Having leadership skills does not alone assure good Rotary leadership.  An effective Rotary leader must ALSO have Rotary knowledge, a perspective about where Rotary has been, where it is now and a vision of what Rotary can be."

Our Goal

The primary goal of the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) International courses for Rotaractors and Rotarians is to inspire ENTHUSIASM for Rotary beyond the club level and to highlight the incredible potential of Rotary service to make a global impact—an impact that grows through strong, effective leadership within our clubs.

Values

Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) International is a general education program, while most Rotary International training programs are “job-specific”; that is Rotary International trains Rotarians for specific positions - Club President, Club Secretary, Club Foundation Chair, etc.
RLI is not a President-elect Training Seminar (PETS) or any other district training program, but graduates of Lone Star RLI bring a greatly enhanced background in Rotary when they later attend job-specific programs.
"Lone Star RLI helped shaped my personal Rotary journey as I learned more about the broader world of Rotary and all the experiences and challenges Rotary offered. I loved my club – and still do – but the BIG world of Rotary was beyond my club!  And I am forever indebted to those who carried the opportunity for me to explore Rotary through RLI."

- PDG Sherri Muniz

LSRLI Division Co-Chair
2011-12 District 5840 Governor
2016-19 Rotary Coordinator
RLI Graduate & Certified Facilitator

"Sessions are fun, topical,
and interactive...fast paced.
Lone Star RLI will refine your
leadership skills and
enhance your Rotary experience."

- PDG Debbie High

LSRLI Division Co-Chair & Onboarding
2016-17 District 5930 Governor
2019-22 Region 36 Rotary Coordinator
RLI Graduate & Certified Facilitator
“I wholeheartedly agree with the RLI philosophy that having leadership skills does not alone assure good Rotary leadership.  An effective Rotary leader must ALSO have Rotary knowledge, a perspective about where Rotary has been, where it is now and
a vision of what Rotary can be.”

- PDG Dian Edwards

LSRLI Division Secretary & Education Coordinator
2012-13 D5630 District Governor
2020-22 Region 36 Rotary Coordinator
RLI Graduate & Certified Facilitator
"Lone Star RLI explains the “who, what, where, and why” about Rotary.  You’ll become a confident leader and discover new strategies to retain and engage members.  Through active class discussion - not lectures - you’ll discover how Rotary helps ordinary people make an extraordinary impact through Rotary."

- Bobbe Barnes

LSRLI Division Treasurer, 2017-2023 Rotary Int'l/TRF Audit Committee,
2020-2023 Rotary Int'l/TRF Audit Committee Chair. RLI Graduate & Certified Facilitator
