We're excited to announce that the first Lone Star Divsion Rotary Leadership Institute (LSRLI)
"Graduate Course" has been scheduled and registration is open!
Lone Star Division RLI Graduate Course: Practical AI for Rotary Clubs - From Curiosity to Confident Use
  Dates:  Tuesday March 10 and March 12, 2026 (Both sessions required. First half of course is March 10th, and 2nd half is March 12th)   
  Time:  6:30 P.M. - 8:45 P.M. Central   
  Virtual via Zoom (Zoom link will be sent before event)
  Space is limited to 20 paid registrations 
  Tuition Fee:  $50 

 

♦ Course requirements

RLI Parts, I, II and III must be completed before enrolling in the LSRLI Graduate Course. RLI graduates (Parts I-III) who are club leaders, district leaders, committee chairs and Rotarians interested in future-focused leadership are eligible. Attendance and participation at both sessions; a computer (desktop or laptop), audio, video (camera) and internet access are required.  No AI technical background is required. Curiosity is.  

 

♦ Course Purpose

To equip experienced Rotarians with the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on experience to responsibly use artificial intelligence to strengthen club operations, membership engagement, service projects, fundraising, communications, and leadership development—while remaining consistent with Rotary values and ethics.

 

♦ LSRLI Certified Facilitators

• Lead Facilitator:  Dr. Zehra Surani (Dr. Z), PDG District 5930
 
Dr. Zehra Surani (Dr. Z) is an Organizational Psychologist, global facilitator, and Rotary International Past District Governor known for experiential, high-impact leadership development. A Lone Star RLI Facilitator, she blends evidence-based psychology, mindfulness, and practical innovation to help Rotarians lead with clarity and purpose. Her sessions are engaging, human-centered, and designed to turn insight into action.

Dr. Victoria Farrar-Myers (Dr. F-M),  AG ’26-'27, District 5790 
Dr. Victoria Farrar-Myers (Dr. F-M) is a Political Scientist, leadership trainer, and Past President of Arlington Rotary Club ('22-'23), District 5790 Community Service Chair ('25-'26) and incoming Assistant Governor ('26-'27). In addition to teaching at the graduate level at SMU, she runs a local leaders training institute (Arlington Civic Engagement Institute) with the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce.  She also is a certified instructor with Lone Star RLI, and often works with local non-profits and boards on strategic planning and governance. As a facilitator, she blends leadership theory and a focus on individual strengths with practical, hands-on real world application to foster the skill of leading with intention and authenticity.

from 1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. do NOT register for this RLI course offering.

Course Date:  July 31, 2026, 8:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. CST
Course Tuition:  $50
 
This in person course will be held Friday, July 31, 2026, in Pflugerville TX. 
 
Part I will begin at 8:00 A.M. with Check-in and Fellowship and conclude at 3:30 P.M.  
Coffee and continental breakfast will NOT be provided.
If selected at registration, a Box Lunch will be served.
Registration is required.
We are unable to accommodate walk-ins.
 
A Registration Made is a Registration Paid.
All registrations must be paid in advance with a credit card.
The tuition for the course is $50.
 
Course requirements:
Open to all Rotarians and Rotaractors. You must be present for the entire session, 8:15 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. to receive your certification of completion and Professional Development Hours (PDH) or Continuing Education Units (CEU).
 
Bring Part I Workbook to Session 
Registration confirmation, Workbook, location, and course room details will be emailed to registered participants July 2026.
 
Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Registration Closes: Tuesday July 21, 2026, 10:59 P.M. CST or when capacity reaches 30 paid participants.
 
To cancel a reservation prior to July 21, 2026, send an e-mail to Lone Star Division RLI Admin Rebecca Maddux at rmaddux@pmhvac.com. You will receive a refund to your credit card, less a $10 Admin Fee. 
 
For cancellations on July 21, 2026, and after, email Rebecca Maddux at rmaddux@pmhvac.com
There will be no refund.
 
Part I In Person will be capped at 30 Participants.
 
Make-up sessions are not available.
 
Course Fees may not be transferred to future Lone Star Division RLI courses or other LSRLI member districts.
 
The Rotary Leadership Institute International is not an official training program of Rotary International.

  Prerequisites:  

♦ Completion of all three Parts of the RLI Program must be completed before enrolling for this in-person Faculty Training / Faculty Recertification. 
♦ Completion of the following four Rotary Learning Center Courses - Must be completed no later than Tuesday, July 21, 2026: 
   - An Introduction to Adult Learning (15 minutes)
   - Becoming An Effective Facilitator (15 minutes)
   - Managing a Learning Session (15 minutes)
   - Conducting Online Learning Events (15 minutes)

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you register for a class that is offered via a virtual (online) delivery method.

 
Lone Star RLI Parts I, II and III consist of two three-hour sessions.  All sessions are required to complete and earn the RLI Part I, II or III certificate of completion. 
 
Graduate classes may be taken only after completing Parts I, II, and III.

 

 
All registrants will be required to pay at the time of registration. Registration fees are determined by events.
 
Cancellations 10 days or more before session will entitle you to a refund, less the registration, credit card and other expenses incurred. Cancellations less than 10 days before the event will result in a forfeiture of the fee. 
 
If a Course is filled, you will be given the option to be placed on a Wait List, without the requirement to pre-pay. If we have cancellations or open an additional class, we will notify you for the opportunity to pay and register for the class.
 
Registration typically closes 10 days prior to course date or when capacity is reached.
 
Participants are required to download workbooks for electronic access. Participants may print materials at their own expense.

 

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you register for a class that is offered via a that is offered in a traditional classroom venue delivery method. 

Each class is a day long session and no more than one class (part) can be taken in any one day. Parts I, II, and III must be taken in succession.
 
Graduate classes may be taken only after completing Parts I, II, and III.
 
All registrants will be required to pay at the time of registration. Registration fees are determined by events.

Due to space and Facilitator availability, registration at each location is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.
